Born in Oklahoma and raised in Mexico, Mesindo began his career as a musician at a very young age. At only thirteen, he left his parents’ home and toured as a drummer, playing throughout most of the eastern United States. Mesindo put himself through school and studied theater wherever possible, as rare as such opportunities presented themselves.

After nine years of the music life, Mesindo sought a more formal education. He enrolled in a community college and, later, Florida A&M University where he received a Doctorate degree in pharmacy. But his first love remained the big screen, and he traveled to Los Angeles to pursue his career further.

Mesindo studied acting at Play House West. Then he applied his business experience to produce and star in the Continuum action thriller Mano a Mano and star in the psychological thriller Taught In Cold Blood.
